A Message to the Greater Allen Cathedral Church Family

As we all know, the world is dealing with a very aggressive health crisis, and we are finding ourselves having to make adjustments that are unprecedented and unexpected. On Thursday, the governor of New York declared that because we have seen this virus move to “pandemic” proportion, houses of worship must not allow more than 500 people to gather in their sanctuary. Considering this mandate and the news coming from Center for Disease Control, we have prayerfully decided to encourage our members and friends to join us for worship by way of streaming.

This decision not to hold our usual services was not an easy one to make because we love coming together for worship, but we believe with all of our hearts that this is the wisest and safest thing to do. The health and well-being of our church community is our primary concern.   Hence, beginning Sunday, March 15,  and until further notice, we will not hold gatherings in person. We will, however, live stream our 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m services; which are not open to the public. We will not have a 7:00 a.m. service. You may join us by logging on to our church website, www.allencathedral.org, or downloading our church app from iTunes or Google Play.
