The Greater Allen Cathedral's Designed for Discipleship (DFD) Bible Class Series provides an excellent opportunity to study the Word of God in a practical, easy to understand small group environment. The DFD series is ideal for people who are 17 years of age or older who desire to seriously study the bible. The DFD series is held throughout the year in 12-week sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings (view schedule below for times). The DFD series teaches the word of God to enable believers to become true disciples of Jesus Christ who, with a thorough knowledge of the fundamental tenets of their faith, can live victoriously in Him.
For an adventurous virtual bible study experience, join the Spring 2024 Designed For Discipleship (DFD) Virtual Bible Study Series. Class registration is $10.00.
Each class will help you develop your understanding of:
1st Time Registering:
All new DFD students must enroll in the DFD Introduction Class entitled "That You May Believe".
Returning DFD Students:
For all returning DFD students, in order to move forward to the next class, you should have completed all the requirements of the previous class. Please check your email for class registration link.

Classes will meet weekly for 60 minutes via Zoom (link provided upon registration)
Tuesday classes will be held September 3 - November 19; classes include: Introduction Class, Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, Class 4, and Class 6
Thursday classes will be held September 5 - November 21; classes include: Class 5, Class 7, Class 8, Class 9 and Post Graduate Class
Please note: The Post Graduate Class is a two-part course that is offered only during the Fall Semester (part 1) and the Spring Semester (part 2).
Introduction: That We May Believe

A study of the life of Jesus based on the Gospel of John. An essential fundamental course for new believers.
Class 1: Your Life In Christ
Tuesdays | 6:00pm-7:00pm
An interactive study program which shows the love of God for the believer and how love is expressed in the believer’s life.
Class 2: The Spirit-Filled Christian
Tuesdays | 6:00pm-7:00pm
An insightful intellectual study of how one can live a Spirit-Filled, Christ-Centered Life.
Class 3: Walking With Christ
Tuesdays | 7:15pm-8:15pm
A liberating study that will simplify the Bible so that you can walk with Christ in liberty.
Class 4: Being A Follower Of Christ
Tuesdays | 7:15pm-8:15pm
A study that will teach you the characteristics that one should exhibit as a Christian in an ungodly world.
Class 5: Foundations For Faith

A study of key doctrines of the Christian faith.
Class 6: Growing in Discipleship

An examination of the concepts of discipleship, stewardship and evangelism. Practicum Included.
Class 7: Our Hope In Christ

An introductory analysis of 1 Thessalonians.
Class 8: Intercessory Prayer

A study of how to intercede before the Lord on behalf of others.
Class 9: Doctrines Of The Bible

A study of Christ, God, man, sin, angels and salvation.
DFD Post Graduate Class: Knowing Jesus Through The Old Testament
Thursdays | 7:15pm-8:15pm
Post Graduate Class is a two-part course that is offered only during the Fall Semester (part 1) and the Spring Semester (part 2)
In this 12-week course, you will learn how Jesus’ self-understanding as Son of Man and Son of God reveals the Jesus who fulfilled the mission that God had given to Israel. You will learn that the more we understand the Old Testament, the closer we come to the heart of Jesus.
